Disable "Delete Confirmation Dialog box"

If we delete any file or folder from our computer, windows is asking again "You really want to put the files in the Recycle Bin" whenever we attempt to delete a file  it stop deleting a file, because windows need to confirm this file deleting by mistake or accident. 

Some time you are deleting many unnecessary files in order to clean up your hard drive or some unwanted file from desktop or other part of PC. This delete confirmation dialog box will bother you at such times and you would want to get rid of it as it takes up a lot of your time while you are deleting a files.


In Windows an easy way to disable this delete confirmation dialog box. so you will be able to save a lot of your time. But, the recommended way is that you do not disable delete confirmation dialog box, unless really necessary. You can turn it back on after you are done with your cleaning up of the computer.

Lets start these easy steps to disable delete confirmation dialog box in Windows
  • Right-click on the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop.
  • Go to Properties from the resulting menu and click on it. (Figure-1)

  • Now Recycle Bin Properties dialog box will appear. then Uncheck the Display delete confirmation dialog box at the bottom.(Figure-2)


  • Click Apply and then Ok button. 
  • Now you have disabled the delete confirmation dialog box 
  • If you want to turn it on again and keep it as default settings, it is very Easy. Just follow the above steps from (Figure 1)and check the Display delete confirmation dialog box
